WTA Pre-Match Betting P&L (Updated 26/10/20)

26th October, 2020.

The downloadable spreadsheet at the bottom of this page illustrates the historical P&L of the matches qualifying for purple & red selections (more information on these selections can be found here).  However, analysis illustrated that the sweet spot for purple selections for the WTA Tour very was slightly different to the men's tour - players with an edge from model to market greater than 11% (as opposed to a split 12%/10% for the ATP Tour).

Please feel free to perform your own analysis using the spreadsheet below, but as with the ATP Tour, purple selections (high edge scenarios) have performed particularly strongly.  These purple scenarios comprise 466 matches, which have generated excellent return on investment figures of 7.09% (staking to win £x) and 5.08% (1/4 Kelly staking).

Data for every ATP and WTA match is available in the TennisRatings daily spreadsheets.
